A Business Focus on Environmental Concerns

MES wanted to illustrate their increased focus on running their organization as a typical profit-generating business. The file folder cover includes a maple leaf icon built of a patchwork of industry-related technology images. The tagline over the image represents the desire to turn over a new leaf in their business approach: "a business focus on environmental concerns". Inside, space was limited and quality photography was not part of their budget. Snapshot images in full color backgrounds and pulled intro paragraphs were created to identify sections and to break up a copy-heavy document without the luxury of large, full bleed photography to turn to. Heavy retouching disguised poor quality photography, and creative use of inventing graphics where none existed (nor a budget to create them) permeated throughout the report.
